Hummus Dip

Servings : Serves 4 to 6 people

 

Equipment needed : Food processor or blender, serving dish

Ingredients

1/4 Cup lemon juice (1 large lemon squeezed)

1/4 Cup tahini

1-2 Cloves garlic, minced

2 Tbsp olive oil

1/4 tsp Cumin

1/4 tsp Salt

1 Can chickpeas

2-3 Tbsp water

Paprika to sprinkle on top

 

Olive oil To drizzle on top

Method

 

  1. Using either a food processor or blender, add the tahini and lemon juice, place the lid on and blend.

  2. Next, add the olive oil, garlic, cumin, salt  and blend again.

  3. Add the chickpeas and desired amount of water then blend again until smooth and creamy.

  4. Scrape the hummus out of the food processor with a spatula into a serving dish.

  5. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with paprika on top.

  6. Serve with your choice of vegetables and pita.
