Macaroni Pie

Servings : 4 to 6

Equipment needed : 9 x 13 inch ovenproof baking dish


1 Package (8oz) elbow macaroni pasta

2 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened

2 Eggs, whisked

1 1/2 Cups evaporated milk

1/4 tsp White pepper

1 tsp Salt

2 Cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 Cup shredded cheddar cheese (topping)


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil on the stove top, when boiling add the pasta and boil for approximately 8 minutes stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  3. When done, drain the pasta water, and transfer the cooked macaroni to a large bowl.
  4. Add the butter and mix it into the hot pasta, Add the whisked eggs and mix again.
  5. Next, pour over the evaporated milk, add the salt, pepper and 2 cups cheddar cheese.  Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  6. Pour the macaroni mixture into the baking dish, smooth out the surface evenly and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheese over the top.
  7. Bake in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes until golden and bubbling.
