Spinach Dip Using Fresh Spinach!

Servings : Each dip serves 4-6 people

Ingredients & Method

1 Cup cream cheese, softened

1 Cup sour cream

1 1/4 Cup fresh spinach leaves, wilted and chopped finely

1 tsp Minced garlic

1/2 tsp Salt

1/4 tsp Pepper

1/2 Cup parmesan cheese, finely grated

1 Cup mozzarella cheese

1 Cup monterey jack cheese

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to  375 degrees fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl place the cream cheese and sour cream and mix together to combine.
  3. Add the wilted & chopped spinach, minced garlic, salt, pepper, parmesan cheese and mix to combine again.
  4. Next, put almost all of the mozzarella and monterey jack cheeses into the above and mix together.
  5. Using a spatula, scrape the dip into an oven safe dish and spread evenly around.
  6. Then sprinkle the last little remaining bit of the cheeses on the top of the dip and place in the oven for 20 minutes, keeping an eye on it as it bakes.

Creamy Sweet Chili Thai Dip

Ingredients:

3/4 Cup sour cream

3/4 Cup sweet thai chili Sauce

1/2 Cup Mayonnaise 

1/2 tsp Honey

In a bowl mix together all of the above ingredients and mix well with a spoon.

The above dips combine well with either pita bread, pumpernickel bread, coconut shrimp or crackers.
